(Rand, Wyoming)— The premiere of the “Grounding” art exhibition, which consists of artwork by contemporary Native American artists, aims to “restore our world through divine harmony with the Earth and with each other” at the RAND Pioneer Museum on Sunday, October 2. The beginning of the world tour.

The artwork on display is by the following 15 contemporary artists from Native American tribes traditionally located in and around the Great Plains (some of whom are native to Fremont County):

- John Pepion

- Talitha Abetta
- Wade Barton
The ceremony began with music from the Little Sun Drum Group, with speakers Pastor Paul Gordon Chandler, Pastor Roxanne, and Robert Martinez, co-founder of Fremont County Artists/North Arapaho Artists Association Martinez) also serves as the exhibition curator.



After the speakers, Martinez cut the ribbon and people could admire the artist’s work and some food prepared by smoke guru Mike Chingman.






The exhibit will be on view until November 14, before traveling to Casper, Cheyenne, Jackson, Wallan and Rock Springs before heading across the pond to undetermined locations in London and the Middle East.
Artwork is available for purchase and 100% of the proceeds go to the artist.
The exhibit is organized by ArtSpirit, CARAVAN, Trinity Episcopal Church, Wyoming College of Humanities, Wyoming Arts Council, and the LOR Foundation.
