COLUMBUS – On September 11, Captain Anne R. Ralston was promoted to the rank of major by Patrol Superintendent Colonel Charles A. Jones.
Major Ralston was recently transferred as Commander of the Personnel Office from her previous assignment at Cambridge Regional Headquarters. Major Ralston began her patrol career in April 1998 as a member of the 131st House Class. She received her commission in October of that year and was assigned to the Fremont Post.
In 2002, she moved to the Cambridge Post, where she was voted the Cambridge Post Police Officer of the Year and received the Ace Award for excellence in car theft enforcement. In 2004, she was promoted to sergeant and transferred to the Marietta Post Office as assistant commander.
As a sergeant, she also served in the patrol’s public affairs and professional standards departments. In 2011, she was promoted to the rank of lieutenant, transferred to the Patrol Public Affairs Department, and served as the Patrol Press Spokesperson.
In 2013, she was promoted to the rank of lieutenant and remained with the Patrol Public Affairs Department. As a Staff Lieutenant, she also served as Assistant Area Commander at Cambridge Area Headquarters.
In 2019, he was promoted to the rank of captain and stayed at the Cambridge district headquarters as a commander. In 2009, Major Ralston completed his Advanced Leadership Training at Northwestern University’s Police Staff and Command College, earning a Bachelor of Science in Criminology.
